I Have to Travel First Class Because People Yell at Me

Scott Pruitt Military JetAlthough not an exact quote…it is very close and the reason that Scott, I don’t know the meaning of the word ethical Pruitt, uses to justify wasting taxpayer money while cooperating to cut EPA’s budget. This is the same man who had to travel by military jet…also quite expensive. The same man who spent tens of thousands of dollars to put a sound proof telephone booth into his office so that he can collude with polluting industries in private. So, why do you wonder, that people might yell at him?

I will again state; Scott Pruitt must go. He is an insult to the all of us who actually believe that public service means not enriching one’s self.

Are we Tired of Scott Pruitt Yet? Tom Kean, Sr. Thinks So

scott pruitt dirty waterIf you are tired about seeing more on Scott Pruitt, I am sorry…but you aren’t the only one. Governor Kean of New Jersey seems to be of the same mind. I strongly suggest that you read his editorial about the destruction of the EPA under Pruitt.

The result of these activities will be dirty air, dirty water, industry run amok. And it appears that people don’t care…well they do, but they have to do something.

Scott Pruitt must go.

Let’s Ignore Climate Change to Make it Go Away

epa quiet climate changeCan you really believe that the EPA is now gagging scientists and preventing them from speaking at conferences that discuss climate change? I suppose when we have an administrator that is a shill for polluters, it should come as no surprise that this would happen.

Whether or not you agree with anthropogenic causes as the reason for climate change or not, can there really be harm in discussing the science and what might be done to mitigate the damage at a conference?

This is getting out of hand.

Buy Me, Give Me, Take Me, Send Me…Americans’ view on how to deal with Air Pollution.

If you have followed my blog, you know by now that I have stated that there is no correlation between peoples’ attitudes and their actions. In the latest work conducted by Scientific American, we see this borne out when it relates to climate change policies.

climate change policiesTheir research shows that people want something done to curb the damages and risks of climate change…but, and this is a key point, only if it does not cost more money.

One of my many fine teachers used to make the above statement about his students. He was referring to our desire for good grades and the fact that so many did not want to work for them. But the statement is appropriate here as well.

There are costs associated with everything. The only reason that inaction on climate issues appears cheaper is that we have been subsidizing industries that create the problem for over 100 years. Indeed, we now see that the EPA Administrator, Scott Pruitt dines with as many as 24 of the largest climate change gas emitters in the world to get his marching orders on keeping them in business.

There is no such thing as free people…
